Founded in 2006, Payroll Publishing (PRP) began with the written word. What started with books sold hand-to-hand grew into concert venues, retail locations in major shopping malls across multiple states, a publishing operation that developed other authors, and a catalog spanning books, screenplays, stage plays, and original intellectual property.
Twenty years later, Payroll Publishing has entered a new era.
Today, PRP is building a creative technology ecosystem where books, films, apps, games, blockchain, virtual experiences, and emerging forms of media originate from a single source: the written word. Publishing remains the foundation, but the company now extends its stories and intellectual property across technology and interactive platforms.
In 2026, Payroll Publishing launched PRP Create, a platform where writers and creators can discover, use, adapt, and build from public domain works. PRP also established PPT, its digital layer and Solana-based token, connecting blockchain utility to the broader Payroll Publishing ecosystem. Behind the scenes, PRP has developed its own publishing technology and automated systems to support content creation, distribution, communication, and future growth.
The company’s evolution is also reflected in how it develops intellectual property. New releases such as AGI Betty explore the intersection of humanity and artificial intelligence, while MEDUSA, an original PRP property developed as a screenplay in 2021, is now expanded into a novel, demonstrating PRP’s approach to building stories across multiple forms of media.
After two decades, the mission has expanded, but the foundation has not changed:

About The Founder
Eugene E. Williams is an author, publisher, screenwriter, entrepreneur, and founder of Payroll Publishing.
Williams founded Payroll Publishing in 2006 and grew the company from direct book sales into a multi-state publishing and retail operation. Along the way, Payroll Publishing published and developed a roster of authors, provided publishing and production services to writers, operated retail locations in major shopping malls, and employed more than one hundred people throughout its various operations.
His body of work includes 10 G’$ A WEEK: The Autobiography of E. Williams, Bianca: Tell Us Who Did This To You, Loyal, AGI Betty, MEDUSA, and numerous screenplays, stage plays, short stories, and other original works.
Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Wayne State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from New York Film Academy Los Angeles. His career has included television appearances, magazine features, recognition for adult literacy, and a 2016 Best Publishing Company honor.
In 2026, the twentieth anniversary of Payroll Publishing, Williams began moving the company beyond conventional publishing and into a broader technology-driven model. Under his direction, PRP launched PRP Create, developed PPT as the digital layer behind Payroll Publishing, expanded its public domain initiative, and began building technology designed to connect publishing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, interactive media, and original intellectual property.
His long-term goal remains the same one that has driven his career as a publisher and writer:
